In this breakout workshop, Brent Baum takes us to the next level in mapping and resolving pathology in the bodymind. By "emotionally reframing" the original millisecond of encoding of a trauma, we discover our capacity to unwind and resolve pain and illness at its source. Holographic Memory Resolution, developed in Brent's work with over 15,000 trauma survivors, reveals the somatic wisdom of the bodymind to map and resolve the distortions in the cells and field of the bodymind which necessitate the healing crisis we term "illness." DESCRIPTION: In this workshop, Brent Baum, the developer of “Holographic Memory Resolution” and Wailua Brandman, the first Nurse Practitioner certified in HMR, introduce health care practitioners to the dynamics and principles of this new body-centered, client-centered therapy. Holographic Memory Resolution® was originally introduced at Cottonwood Treatment Centers in New Mexico and Arizona as an effective Relapse Prevention strategy for reducing recidivism among chemically dependent populations. Utilized with rescue personnel from the Oklahoma City Bombing, TWA Flight 800, and Sept. 11, 2001, HMR was successfully employed within a broad range of diagnoses along the ‘trauma continuum,’ ranging from PTSD to more severe dissociative disorders. Recognized by Dr. Andrew Weil as an effective mind-body therapy, HMR reflects a breakthrough in the fields of “Integrative Medicine” and trauma resolution, introducing a unique combination of somatic psychology, energy psychology, and client-centered therapy. HMR has been found to induce a specific Alpha-Theta brainwave state that enhances sensory access to memory while preventing abreaction and re-live.
